From the start, Swede's Jewelers has constantly donated to, supported, and participated in a wide array of local schools and organizations within our community. Among many of their recent contributions, Swede's is proud to announce their participation and sponsorship in The Asnuntuck Community College's 12th Annual Golf Tournament. Master Jeweler, Robert Szwed, not only sponsored and participated in the community event, but also came in 2nd place and was the recipient of the fundraiser’s 50/50 Raffle. Winning over $500.00, Robert decided to donate his additional winnings back to the foundation as he was personally thanked and introduced to ACC President, James Lombella.
The Asnuntuck Community College Foundation was created over 40 years ago and strives to provide scholarships, fund mini-grants for special student programs, and to support student success. The ACC has been serving students for 40+ years and they are the only ones who benefit from the Foundation. The tournament itself grossed over $36,595 with the net proceeds benefiting the Foundation directly. Swede's Jewelers believes in the importance of education and looks forward to supporting local scholarship programs and foundations like this again in the near future!
